NYM to travel to Perham on Thursday

On Thursday the New York Mills cross country team ran in the Otter Tail Central meet held at Balmoral Golf Course where many runners continued to lower their race times.

Austin Geiser, Jacob Thorsrud, and Dawson Seelhammer all had a PR (personal record), while Maggy Weller and Elijah Geiser each had a SB (season best). Audrey Weller did not do her best as she spent race time helping another runner who had a medical issue. In the junior high race, Loren Underdahl placed 17th.

At the conclusion of the meet Coach Greg Esala said, “our athletes have had some hard workouts in the past few weeks and it has helped them to improve their race times. That is a tribute to them pushing themselves as we practice.”

The Eagles will now have a busy week as they compete in the Ashby/Brandon-Evansville meet on Tuesday and the Perham meet on Thursday.
