The New York Mills School District is working to start up a first Lego Robotics program. Brunswick Lund has donated funds to purchase supplies and the basic kits for two teams have recently been ordered.

“First Lego League introduces science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to children ages 9-14 through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Participants gain real-world problem-solving experiences through a guided, global robotics program, helping today’s students and teachers build a better future together,” according to the First Lego League’s website.

This year’s competition features an ocean theme. Registration is open until filled. The coaches are excited to bring a unique experience to NY Mills students.

For more information, or to sign up for the NY Mills team, contact Superintendent Adam Johnson. Interest has been high in this program and spots are limited and filling up quickly.
