Saturday, Oct. 5 was National Do Something Nice Day. It is easy to forget the impact that a simple act of kindness can have on other people, but kindness is contagious. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, ignites a chain reaction of goodwill and positivity.

Last Saturday area members of Finn Creek and area merchants teamed up to spread a little kindness, rake a few leaves, and get Finn Creek ready for winter. Area merchants like KLN, Goose Gang and Gobble Up Turkey of Perham, Buehler’s Produce of Ottertail, Miriam’s Massage and Farmers and Merchants State Bank of New York Mills, all donated lunch and gifts to the workers.
