Sheriff deputies, on Nov. 12, reported that a man died after being pinned under a vehicle near Jewett Lake, north of Fergus Falls. He had been working on a vehicle in his garage. Family members were able to free him from being pinned but he was later pronounced deceased from injuries sustained.
The victim was identified as Vaughn Ebbighausen, 64. Sheriff deputies were assisted at the scene of the accident by Ringdahl Ambulance.
Traffic injuries
Sheriff deputies, on Nov. 12, reported four traffic accidents with injuries over the weekend.
The first accident, at 4:45 p.m. on Nov. 8, took place at the intersection of Highway 4 and 280th Avenue, southwest of Vergas. A vehicle went into the ditch and struck an approach. The traffic victim was life flighted for injuries sustained in the crash.
The second accident took place at 8:41 p.m. on Nov. 9 when a driver struck a deer, with the driver sustaining a neck injury, non-life threatening. The accident took place near the intersection of Highways 10 and 60, northwest of Perham.
A third accident took place northwest of Underwood, at the intersection of Highway 10 and Highway 1 at 5:02 p.m. on Nov. 10. A person driving southward on Highway 3 missed a stop sign, left the roadway and the vehicle rolled over in a ditch. The driver was transported to the hospital in Fergus Falls.
The fourth injury took place during another vehicle-deer accident at the intersection of Highway 210 and East Dane Prairie Road near Underwood. The accident took place at 7:07 p.m. on Nov. 10. This was a minor injury.
