Two road fatalities in Otter Tail County

0Fatal accident reported south of Ottertail

Two roadway fatalities took place in Otter Tail County, one on Thursday, Dec. 5, and the other on Friday, Dec. 6. One fatality took place near Wall Lake, between Underwood and Fergus Falls, and the second fatal accident took place near Ottertail city.
Sheriff deputies, in coordination with the State High Patrol, said the first fatal crash took place at 9:19 a.m. on Dec. 5 along Highway 210 near Wall Lake. This was a head-on collision with the victim identified as 18-year-old Cadence Monroe Hartman of Battle Lake. Receiving a non-life-threatening injury was the driver of the other vehicle, 63-year-old David Duane Marsh of Staples.
The second fatal accident took place at 1:34 p.m. on Dec. 6 along Highway 78 near Ottertail. The victim was identified as 27-year-old McKayla Ann Schicker of Fergus Falls. The driver of the other vehicle, with non-like-threatening injuries, was identified as 23-year-old Henry Francis Gibbs of Battle Lake.
