Kyle Joseph Anderson, 34, of Perham, received a stay of imposition in county court, Fergus Falls, on Dec. 16, 2024. He will have his felony conviction regarding threats of violence reduced to a misdemeanor if he stays law abiding during a probationary period.

This case dates back to Nov. 26, 2023, and a plea agreement was reached on Oct. 28, 2024. The probation period for Anderson is five years.

The judge ordered Anderson to complete a comprehensive assessment and follow recommendations of evaluation. The order also includes no alcohol and no possession of drugs. Random testing will take place and Anderson must remain law abiding during the probationary period.

Anderson is responsible for payment of $210 in court fees. He must obtain permission from his probation agent before leaving the state and also follow directives of the probation agent. He must cooperate with the search of his residence, vehicle, workplace, property and other directives of his probation agent.

Anderson also is prohibited from possessing firearms, ammunition or explosives.
