On Tuesday night the Eagles avenged an earlier 65-55 loss to Wadena-Deer Creek by upending the Wolverines 76-72 on the road as part of the Highway 10 Cup. The varsity win was the tiebreak for a day of basketball that started at the elementary levels in the afternoon and concluded with the varsity game at night. The school that won the most overall games from elementary to high school throughout the day received the cup for one year until the two teams square off against one another next year.
The Eagles led the Wolverines by a score of 40-38 at halftime, before coming away with the 76-72 win.
