The sixth seeded New York Mills Eagles fell to third seeded Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Browerville by a score of 54-12 on Friday night. 

The Wolves picked up wins in the opening four matches of the night, before Creed Mursu secured a 7-0 decision over Paul Buntjer at 133 lbs. 

NY Mills also secured wins at 172 lbs. when Joe Mann won an 11-8 overtime match at 172 lbs. and Grady Roberts picked up a win by fall at 285 lbs. Unfortunately, the Eagles had five open weights against LPGEB.

The loss ends NY Mills’ season with a record of 9-11 overall as they will now turn their attention to the Section 6A individual tournament. The individual tournament will be held on Friday afternoon at Wadena-Deer Creek High School. The tournament is scheduled to get underway at 12;30 p.m.
