Many businesses in west central Minnesota are excited about the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI). To help businesses realize the possibilities with AI, the Minnesota Newspaper Association (MNA) offered a zoom seminar on Feb. 27, presented by KeyMedia Solutions based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Korena Keys of KeyMedia focused on how businesses can connect to consumers on an emotional level and in a creative way. “With the help of AI-based systems, businesses can increase the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns,” she said.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a set of technologies that enables computers to perform a variety of advanced functions, including the ability to translate spoken and written language, analyze data and make recommendations.

AI adaptations are being made by major platforms such as Google, Facebook and Instagram. Earlier this year Google announced that subscribers will receive Gemini, it’s Artificial intelligence (AI) model, at no added cost.

“There are competitive dynamics and the proliferation of search tools,” Keys said. “Businesses, through AI, are adapting to changing marketplaces.”

IA conversational ads are interactive advertisements that allow users to engage directly within the ad via chat-like features. “They leverage AI to simulate human-like interactions,” Keys said, “providing users with a seamless experience.”

Ways to use AI tools to enhance paid ad campaigns:

• Advanced audience targeting

• Dynamic ad personalization

• Automated campaign management

• Enhanced predictive analytics

• Conversational AI

• Real time data insights and optimizations
