In a season that has went by in a blink of an eye, the New York Mills Eagles have just one game left on their regular season schedule, a Thursday match up against Browerville.

The Eagles wrapped up a busy week of seven games in six days, including three games on Saturday at the Jackson County Central softball tournament. The Eagles dropped all three games in the tournament, which included a 13-6 loss to Class AAA Albert Lea, a 10-3 loss to Class AA Jackson County Central and an 11-10 loss to Class AA Zumbrota-Mazeppa.

The three losses came on the heels of four exciting wins at home last week.

On Monday afternoon the Eagles defeated the Frazee Hornets 14-12 after Ayla Olson hit a three-run walk off home run in the bottom of the seventh inning. On Tuesday the Eagles defeated Sebeka by identical 5-3 scores and on Thursday NY Mills defeated Parkers Prairie by a score of 9-8 to wrap up their conference season.

NY Mills is currently in third place in the conference with Menahga leading the charge with a record of 12-2. Wadena-Deer Creek is 10-2, while NY Mills is 10-4. Parkers Prairie could catch the Eagles if they win their final conference game for third place as they are 9-4, while Sebeka is 5-7, Pillager is 5-9, Otter Tail Central is 2-12 and Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale is 0-13 in the conference.

The sub section tournament is scheduled to kick off next Tuesday.
