An error on a Blake Unger line drive in the top of the sixth inning brought Bergen Roder across the plate and put NY Mills in control of its Park Region Conference game against Parkers Prairie on Thursday night by a score of 7-4 on Thursday.

Unfortunately, the Panthers returned the favor with six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to overtake the Eagles 10-7. The rally started when a run crossed the plate on a fielder’s choice to leave runners on second and third base with two outs. Two straight walks brought a run across the plate, which was followed by an RBI single, two-run double and an error in succession that all brought runs across the plate to score.

NY Mills loaded the bases with two outs, but were unable to get a run across the plate and fell by a score of 10-7.

The Eagles had a big inning in the top of the fourth inning when Everett Ruther hit a two-run single, Hunter Bosman put the Eagles in front 4-3 with an RBI single, before Finn Roder and Blake Unger followed with back-to-back RBI singles to make the score 6-3 and end a five run inning.

Finn Roder led the way offensively with two hits and two RBIs, while Braxton Ehnert took the loss on the mound pitching 2/3 innings and giving up four runs and one hit in relief. Roder started the game and went five innings, giving up six hits, four earned runs and striking out seven batters.
