0UMD announces Dean’s List
The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) has announced its Dean’s List for Spring Semester 2025. Students on the Dean’s List have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher while earning a minimum of 12 letter-graded credits.

One of five campuses that comprise the University of Minnesota System, the University of Minnesota Duluth integrates liberal education, research, creative activity, and public engagement and prepares students to thrive as lifelong learners and globally engaged citizens. M State honors local graduates
The following local students are among the 633 spring semester 2025 graduates of Minnesota State Community and Technical College (M State). The college has campuses in Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Moorhead and Wadena, and also offers online programs.
Students who graduated from M State include: Daisy Ewing, New York Mills, Autism Spectrum Disorder-Certificate; Kailey Keskitalo, New York Mills, Radiologic Technology-AAS; Avery Perala, New York Mills, Liberal Arts & Sciences-AA; Cora Vandermay, New York Mills, Liberal Arts & Sciences-AA; Danial VanWatermulen, New York Mills, Associate Degree Nursing-AS and Sara Mindermann, Ottertail, Associate Degree Nursing-AS.
A member of the Minnesota State system of colleges and universities, M State (Minnesota State Community and Technical College) serves more than 10,000 students in credit and non-credit courses each year in over 70 career and liberal arts programs online and in-person at its four campuses in Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Moorhead and Wadena. The college also partners with communities to provide workforce development services and other responsive training programs to 500 businesses and thousands of annual participants.
Mursu named to Honor List
The Academic High Honor and Honor lists (Dean’s lists) for the past spring semester at Minnesota State University, Mankato have been announced by Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs David Hood.
Among 4,037 students, a total of 1,312 students qualified for the High Honor List by achieving a 4.0 straight “A” average, while 2,725 students earned a 3.5 to 3.99 average to qualify for the Honor List.
To qualify for academic honors, undergraduate students must be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours for the semester.
Among the students on the High Honor and Honors lists was Irene Mursu, New York Mills, Honor List.
Pilgrim named to President’s List
North Dakota State College of Science has recognized 525 students on its President’s Honor Roll for the spring 2025 semester. This distinction is awarded to students who have earned a 3.5 grade point average or higher while completing 12 or more credits with traditional letter grades.
The honorees include: New York Mills: Olivia Pilgrim, Dental Hygiene.
Stevens graduates from SCSU
St. Cloud State University graduated more than 850 students during spring semester 2025.
Among the local students who graduated from SCSU was Melissa Stevens, New York Mills, Graduate Certificate, Traffic Safety Education.
