Bluffton Hometown Days turned out quite a crowd over the weekend as the town hosted a parade, fireworks, anything but a bat and glove baseball game, car show and much more. The theme of the weekend was land of the free and home of the Braves to recognize the Bluffton Braves baseball team. The longtime team player and manager Terry Geiser was selected as the grand marshal of the parade and the baseball field was officially dedicated in his honor on Saturday.

One of the more popular events throughout the weekend was Friday’s anything but a glove and bat game at the baseball field. Local residents used everything from fishing nets and buckets to catch a ball, while hitters used items like noodles, poles and even pipes to hit the ball.
