The 2025 New York Mills trap shooting team took second place in its conference behind Wayzata High School. 

The Eagles wrapped up a fun and successful season with the final trap shoot held in Alexandria, Minn. Several students achieved personal best scores at this event, marking a strong finish to the year. One athlete scored high enough to qualify for the state competition in Wayzata this June. Congratulations to all team members on a great season.

Terence Ohlgren said he wanted to thank the parents for their continued support—encouraging their son or daughter to participate and making the commitment to get them to events each Sunday. The involvement from parents plays a vital role in their experience and success. Trap shooting is a lifelong sport, and Ohlgren hopes they continue to enjoy and grow in it for years to come.

Ohlgren also thanked the sponsors of the trap team as their donations help to keep costs manageable for families, as this program is entirely funded through community support. He said the contributions make this opportunity possible for NY Mills student-athletes.
