Dawson Seelhammer, Elijah Geiser, Heath Hammond and Loren Underdahl race in a pack during last week’s meet in Wadena.

The New York Mills Eagles cross country team traveled last Tuesday to Whitetail Run Golf Course in Wadena to compete in the Wadena-Deer Creek meet.
In their respective JH races, Jemma Goeson placed 18th out of 32 runners and Chavez Cannon placed 10th out of 50 competitors. Dawson Seelhammer was the top Eagle in the varsity races as he cut 2:31 off his time at this meet last year.
After the meet Coach Esala said, “Our runners put a lot of effort to do their best at this meet. We are all improving and our hard work at practice is beginning to pay off.”
The Eagles head to Ada on Thursday, Sept. 11 for their next meet on a flat course where they all hope to post some great times.
