Five members of the New York Mills FFA Chapter recently exhibited at the 2025 Minnesota State Fair. Rowland and Hazel Dykhoff, as well as Julie Seim exhibited 26 head of sheep, Caroline Schwantes exhibited four head of dairy and Kaitlynn Dittmann exhibited a rabbit.

Caroline garnered up two second place finishes in the individual classes, and in the group classes placed second twice. It is to be noted that she showed in the toughest division and her animals were presented to perfection.

Kaitlynn’s rabbit was competitive, but didn’t place in the top two.

Rowland, Hazel and Julie made a strong showing and gathered up several champions and reserve champions. A final accolade was awarded on Monday as the NY Mills chapter received the premier sheep exhibitor award.

The New York Mills FFA Chapter was not only successful in the show ring, but they wrestle some of the most polite, helpful and hardest workers at the fair. They did a great job representing the community.
