A new Habitat for Humanity Home has been moved to a new lot near the Arvilla housing development in Ottertail. The new house, which was constructed by students at Underwood High School, was moved to Ottertail last Tuesday.

Fergus Falls Area Habitat for Humanity has announced the successful relocation of a home built by students from Underwood High School to its permanent site in Ottertail.

The home was constructed as part of the YouthBuild Program, allowing Underwood students to gain hands-on experience in construction while contributing to the mission of providing safe, decent, and affordable housing for families in need. The move to its new lot in Ottertail marks the next chapter for this home, where it will soon become a place of stability and hope for its future Habitat homeowner family.

Many community groups and volunteers have contributed time working on this home, including the “The Fishermen” group from Calvary Lutheran Church in Perham.

The Fergus Falls Area Habitat for Humanity will continue work on the home at its new site, including the addition of a garage, finishing touches, and landscaping, before welcoming a family next year.

Community members who would like to support this project through volunteering or donations are encouraged to visit www.ffhabitat.org or call the Habitat office at (218)736-2905.
