The Perham/New York Mills tennis team improved to 14-3 overall with a 5-2 win over Park Rapids on the road on Tuesday night. The Yellowjackets swept the singles matches in straight sets, while also picking up a win at third doubles to pick up the win.

Kaia Anderson won both of her games at first singles by a score of 6-1, 6-1, while Bella Huwe picked up a 6-4, 6-3 win at second singles. Aurora Jabas secured a win at third singles by a 6-3, 6-3 score and Lillinha Kettke secured the straight set singles sweep for Perham/NY Mills with a 6-1, 6-2 win at fourth singles.

The Yellowjackets also secured a hard-fought win at third doubles as the duo of Lauren Gjerde and Hazel Dykhoff secured a 1-6, 6-2, 7-6 (8-6) thriller to pick up Perham/NY Mills’ fifth win of the night. 

The Yellowjackets are scheduled to host Parkers Prairie on Tuesday night, as well as a triangular on Thursday against Roseau and Detroit Lakes.
