Yellowjackets fall to Becker 4-3 in Section 8AA semi-finals

The Perham/New York Mills tennis team had its season come to an end on Wednesday in the Section 8AA semi-finals. The Yellowjackets fell to Becker by a score of 4-3 after winning three of the four singles matches, but falling in all three of the doubles matches to have their season come to a close.
Kaia Anderson remained unbeaten on the season as she defeated Ava Duncombe in straight sets 6-1, 6-3. Aurora Jabas won a three set thriller at third singles by scores of 4-6, 7-6, 10-6 to come away with the win, while fourth singles Lilliahana Klettke rallied for another three set win by scores of 4-6, 6-3, 10-4 to win Perham/NY Mills’ third match at singles.
Unfortunately, Becker was able to sweep the doubles matches in straight sets to secure the 4-3 win over Perham/NY Mills.
Thursday’s loss ends the Yellowjackets season with a record of 19-5 overall and comes on the heels of a 7-0 win over Sartell on Monday afternoon in the section opener.
