The New York Mills Eagles cross country team recently held their end of the year awards night. Receiving awards were:  Junior Rookies- Ella Saewert, Layton Meyer, Chavez Cannon, Bryce Kopvieler, and Hayden Bleichner. Junior High Awards- Jemma Goeson, Helena Kimber, Finn Costin, and Gus Tumberg. Hardest Worker- Loren Underdahl. Eagle Award- Elijah Geiser. Most Improved- Dawson Seelhammer. Top Male Runner- Jacob Thorsrud. Top Female/Eagle Award- Audrey Weller. Rookies of the Year- Heath Hammond and Noah Radniecki. 

In addition, Audrey Weller and Elijah Geiser received awards for making the cross country All-Academic Team in the Park Region Conference.

Coach Greg Esala ended the season by saying, “we had a great year because our runners worked hard all season and they all improved greatly. They are exceptional student-athletes and as coaches we are glad to work with them.”
