The New York Mills High School bowling program wrapped up another strong season under the direction of coaches Ruth Ramsey and Maureen Baymler, marking one of the most successful years in recent memory.

This fall, the program saw a welcome increase in participation with full JV and varsity squads. The JV team—Macy Mursu, Brekkyn Saewert, Megan Harder, Fox Holtberg, Shaila Roberts and Owen Johnson—made tremendous progress throughout the season. New bowlers showed impressive improvement, while returning players achieved new personal bests and continued building consistency.

The varsity team, consisting of Macy Mursu, Reegan Baymler, Emily DeYonge, Brock Ruther, Blake Hiltner and Chase Tibbetts, delivered a standout season. The group finished third overall in the Northwest Conference during regular season play and earned a trip to the Class A State Tournament at Park Grove Bowl in St. Paul Park on November 22. The team also secured a fourth place finish at the conference tournament on November 9 at Northern Aire Lanes in Fergus Falls.

Reegan Baymler helped the New York Mills bowling team make a return to the state bowling meet that is set for November 22 at St. Paul Park.

NY Mills had four bowlers ranked in the Top 20 for fill percentage in the conference including: Reegan Baymler, Brock Ruther, Blake Hiltner and Chase Tibbetts.

Individually, Tibbetts also received the team’s All-Honors Award for his dedication, positive attitude and leadership with younger bowlers and was selected to the singles tournament that will be held on December 13 at Mermaid Lanes in Mounds View.

On November 29 at AMF Southtown Lanes in Bloomington, Chase Tibbetts, Blake Hiltner and Brock Ruther will be bowling in the All Conference tournament.

The program extends a heartfelt thank-you to parents, players, and community supporters for making another successful season possible. Special thanks to the NY Mills Lions for their continued support, which helped fund new team jerseys.
