The VFW Post 3289 Auxiliary met November 13 with 15 members present.

Minutes from the October 9 meeting were approved, and the October Treasurer’s Report was filed subject to audit.

The General Orders Bulletin for November 2025 from the Department President was read and discussed.

In other business

• Committee Chairs gave an update on our programs for 2025-2026.

• We draped the charter for Carol Hanson, past Department of Minnesota Auxiliary President, who passed away recently.

• Approved payment of current bills.

• Approved bell ringing for the Salvation Army as a Community Outreach project.

• Approved adopting three veterans at the Fergus Falls Veterans Home and purchasing Christmas gifts for them.

• Approved purchase of Holiday food baskets for shut-ins in the Wolf Lake area.

• Approved a hardship grant for family of an auxiliary member after they lost their home in a fire.

• The October 19 Membership Dinner was attended by 40 people.

• The Veterans Day Program was held November 11.

• The Cancer and Family Aid Benefit drawing is scheduled for November 14.

• Discussed plans for the VFW Memorial Fund Live Auction on November 22 and the New York Mills Christmas Tree Festival which begins November 29.

• Soldier Care Packages will be assembled December 8 and mailed to a military unit in Hawaii.

• The next District 9 meeting will be Saturday, December 13 in Detroit Lakes.  Our Auxiliary will provide a basket raffle item.

The next Auxiliary meeting will be Thursday, December 11 at 6 p.m.
