Winter has come to Minnesota in full force, but you need not look any further than the New York Mills location of Lakes Community Cooperative with Cenex convenience store, Hardware Hank hardware store, and full-service deli.

The coop continues to offer a vehicle and pet wash in NY Mills.

Outside, the Co-op is furnished with Wintermaster premium diesel fuel, designed for extreme cold, as well as #1 and #2 diesel fuel, with DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) out at the pumps and inside as well. Gas pumps are equipped with E88, 87, and 91 for all of your vehicles as well as small engines like the Husqvarna snowblowers for sale now inside the hardware store.

“I have salt, shovels, roof rakes,” said manager Steve Greenwood. “If I don’t have it, I can order it. We upgraded our sporting goods section, we have portable ice houses in right now, we have muzzle loaders and crossbows. I even have a few lawn mowers left if anyone is interested.”

Greenwood commented that Hardware Hank has been a part of the Do it Best hardware brand for a little over a year now, which happens to be the world’s largest cooperative. Because of this, he is able to order a larger variety of items and is able to carry different items that were previously unavailable at the store.

“They are our vendor now and we are in the process of converting,” he said. “I can order just about anything.”

Along with the winter necessities in the hardware store, the carwash is up and running to help clean off all the road salt from vehicles this winter. The car wash has a touch less wash option with several packages available. The car wash is open down to 10 degrees in order to keep everything in good working order.

Their deli, which was upgraded in the past few years, has a wide variety of hot options from Cooper’s Chicken, hot and ready sandwiches, Wingman Pizza, burritos, mashed potatoes and gravy, and many more delicious options every day.

“We’re running promotions in our deli,” said Greenwood. “We have Wingman pizza at $9.99, that’s staying for a long time. We have everything you need.”

From hot and fresh meals, a variety of drinks and snacks, coffee and tea, and cold options in the convenience store to the wide array of everyday necessities from dog food, HVAC parts, winter equipment and sporting goods, to the convenience of the car wash, bait options, and Husqvarna parts and machines, NY Mills Cenex and Hardware Hank have everything you need for your one-stop fuel, food, and hardware needs.

Cenex and Hardware Hank are open during weekdays from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. and from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends. Make sure to stop by to fuel up, have a bit to eat and find the piece of equipment you’re looking for next time you stop in at 141 N Broadway Avenue in NY Mills.
