The VFW Post 3289 Auxiliary met December 11 with 13 members present.

Minutes from the November 13 meeting were approved, and the November Treasurer’s Report was filed subject to audit.

The General Orders Bulletin for December 2025 from the Department President was read and discussed.   The Midwinter Conference will be held in Brooklyn Park January 16-18.  Our Auxiliary received a thank you for our donation to the VA Minneapolis Fisher House and mailed a get well card and three sympathy cards to Auxiliary and Post family members.

In other business:

1. Committee Chairs gave an update on our programs for 2025-2026.

2. We draped the charter for Agnes Geiser, 3289 Auxiliary Member, who passed away recently.

3. Approved payment of current bills.

4. A “Good Job Award” was presented to President Shirley Quist for her dedication and work on the Auxiliary’s activities at the New York Mills Christmas Tree Festival.

5. Approved a medical grant and a hardship grant for Auxiliary members.

6. Approved payment of annual dues for an Auxiliary member.

7. The Cancer Aid & Veteran and Family Aid Benefit was coordinated by the Auxiliary and held on November 14.

8. The VFW Post & Auxiliary Memorial Fund Live Auction was held November 22.

9. Soldier Care Packages were mailed on December 8.  Approved the purchase of gift cards for military personnel serving stateside.

10. District 9 meetings will be held Saturday, December 13 in Detroit Lakes and Saturday, March 21 in New York Mills.

11. Scheduled the audit of October-December Auxiliary records for 5:00 p.m. on January 8.

12. The next Auxiliary meeting will be Thursday, January 8 at 6:00 p.m.
