Eagles blow past Bulldogs 79-39 for ninth win of the season

Just days after their first loss of the season, the New York Mills Eagles wasted little time getting back into the winning column last Monday night with a commanding 79-39 win over the Swanville Bulldogs.
The Eagles swarmed the Bulldogs on the offensive end of the court as their offense continues to overpower their opponents as they are averaging a Park Region Conference best 79.9 points per game offensively, while surrendering a second best 55 points per game on the defensive end of the court.
The Eagles were led offensively by a balanced scoring attack featuring Kolston Lofgren scoring 32 points, while Bergen Roder scored nine points.
Heath Hammond scored eight points to go along with a team-high 11 rebounds, while Gage Brasel scored six points, Eli Vaughan scored five, Finn Roder scored five, Jacob Thorsrud scored four, Sean Dresser scored three, Gannon Theisen scored three and Carson Thorsrud and Trygg Roder rounded out the scoring with two points apiece.
Finn Roder added to his five points offensively with nine assists and nine rebounds.
This week the Eagles will head back into the Park Region Conference as they travel to Henning on Tuesday night to take on the top ranked and conference leading Henning Hornets. Henning is currently averaging 78.7 points per game on offense and giving up just 46.2 points per game on defense. The Hornets are 6-0 in conference action, while the Eagles are 4-1.
On Friday the Eagles will hit the road once again when they travel to a Verndale Pirates team that is 1-5 in the conference and averaging just 50.2 points per game, while giving up 67.3 points per game defensively.
