The New York Mills Eagles kicked off an extended home stand with a win over Browerville and three losses against Wadena-Deer Creek, Menahga and Battle Lake. The Eagles end their regular season with 10 home games in their final 11 games.

In addition to a 76-56 win over the Tigers last Monday night, the Eagles fell to Wadena-Deer Creek by a score of 61-35, Menahga by a score of 86-60 and Battle Lake by a score of 46-43.

The losses drop the Eagles to 7-12 overall and 5-6 in the Park Region Conference. 

This week the Eagles will host Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal on Tuesday at 4:15 p.m., before hosting Pillager on Thursday at 7 p.m. On Monday, Feb. 9 the Eagles will travel to Park Rapids Area, before returning home on Tuesday, Feb. 10 to host the Henning Hornets as part of a boys-girls doubleheader. 

Jan. 20

Annika Dunrud hit four 3-pointers and Gabi Vaden hit two of her own as the NY Mills Eagles fell to a feisty Rothsay Tigers team by a score of 67-54 on Tuesday, Jan. 20. Dunrud hit three 3-pointers in the second half to help the Eagles pull within striking distance after trailing 35-26 at halftime. She finished with a team-high 20 points, while Vaden scored 13. 

Rosemary Laudenbach scored eight points, Chloe Costin scored seven, Addy Johnson scored four and Morgan Brunko rounded out the scoring with three points. 

Jan. 22

NY Mills completed a two-game sweep over the Sebeka Trojans on Jan. 22 when they picked up a 58-51 win on the road. The Eagles held a slim 28-24 lead at halftime, before turning it on in the second half by outscoring the Trojans 30-27 thanks to a big second half by Gabi Vaden who finished with 14 of her team-high 18 points in the final 18 minutes of action. 

Annika Dunrud hit three 3-pointers to finish with 15 points, while Chloe Costin scored eight points, Rosemary Laudenbach scored seven and Addy Johnson rounded out the scoring with four points.
