Eagles pick up a pair of wins to improve to 12-2 on season

Gage Brasel helped the Eagles win three games last week to improve to 12-2 overall.

The New York Mills Eagles picked up three more wins, including a pair in the Park Region Conference last week.

The Eagles opened the week with an 85-70 win over Verndale, before heading back into the conference with a win over Sebeka by a score of 75-65. On Saturday, the Eagles picked up their third win of the week with a 94-62 non-conference win over Battle Lake at home.
The three wins improved the Eagles to 12-2 overall and 6-2 in the Park Region Conference.
This week the Eagles will host Wadena-Deer Creek on Monday night, before hosting Menahga on Friday night in a pair of conference match ups.
Monday

Gage Brasel scored 20 points and pulled down 14 rebounds as the Eagles completed a season sweep over the Verndale Pirates. The Eagles defeated the Pirates by a score of 85-70 as eight Eagles reached the scoring column and five NY Mills players reached double figures.
In addition to Brasel, Bergen Roder scored 15 points to go along with seven assists, while Jacob Thorsrud just missed joining Brasel with a double-double as he scored 14 points to go along with nine rebounds. Kolston Lofgren scored 14 points, Finn Roder scored 11 points and had a team-high eight assists, Eli Vaughan scored six points, Heath Hammond scored three points and finished with eight rebounds and Trygg Roder rounded out the scoring with two points.

Thursday
NY Mills completed a season sweep over Sebeka on Thursday night as they picked up a 75-65 win over the Trojans. The win is the second of the season over the Trojans after the Eagles defeated Sebeka 80-62 in December.
Bergen Roder led the way offensively with 23 points, while Gage Brasel had a big night from the floor by scoring 21 points and finishing with nine assists. Kolston Lofgren finished with 13 points, Jacob Thorsrud finished with 12 points and seven rebounds, Finn Roder scored three points and seven rebounds and Sean Dresser finished the night with three points.

The Eagles picked up their 12th win of the season on Saturday afternoon with a commanding 94-62 win over Battle Lake. The Eagles were led offensively by Kolston Lofgren who had his best game from the floor on the season with 30 points, while Finn Roder chipped in with 21 points and seven rebounds.
Gage Brasel filled the stat sheet on Saturday with 17 points to go along with seven rebounds and three assist, while Sean Dresser scored seven points, Jacob Thorsrud scored six points, Bergen Roder scored five points, Heath Hammond scored three points, Blake Hiltner scored three points and Carson Thorsrud rounded out the scoring with two points in the win.
