0Arvig has pledged a $25,000 donation to the City of Lake Park to fund future enhancements to its city park.
The contribution comes at a pivotal time for the community of approximately 800 residents. The city’s pool on the park’s edge had been a central gathering place for the local community and neighboring areas for decades, but when it closed due to age in 2025, city leadership began working to reimagine the space, build new amenities and create new recreational opportunities for all ages.
Construction of new pickleball courts is slated to begin this spring, and several other improvements are being considered. Arvig’s gift is designed to accelerate development efforts, providing the seed money needed to turn a community wish list into a reality.
“On behalf of the City of Lake Park, thank you for Arvig’s commitment to supporting communities and initiatives that improve quality of life for local residents,” said Sarah Mikkelsen,
City Clerk and Treasurer for the City of Lake Park. “This donation will have a lasting impact and help us restore the sense of community we envision for the city park.”
Supporting the park’s revitalization aligns with Arvig’s commitment to fostering vibrant, connected communities.
“Arvig has been a part of the Lake Park community for many years, and we’re happy to help kickstart this new chapter for the city park,” said David Arvig, Vice President and COO at Arvig. “As an employee-owned company, we know that strong communities need shared spaces where people can connect, and we look forward to seeing these new amenities come to life.”
