0The VFW Post 3289 Auxiliary met March 12 with 17 members and 2 guests present.
Minutes from the February 12 meeting were approved, and the February Treasurer’s Report was filed subject to audit.
The General Orders Bulletin for March 2026 from the Department President was read and discussed. Our Auxiliary received thank you notes from the New York Mills Lund Team for sponsoring them at the 2026 Polar Plunge and from an Auxiliary member who received a medical grant.
In other business:
• Committee Chairs gave an update on our programs for 2025-2026. Community Service hours for January were reported.
• Two applications for new membership in our Auxiliary were received and approved.
• Approved payment of current bills.
• The breakfast held on February 22 raised $1,050.00 for the Honor Flight of ND/MN.
• Approved a donation to the New York Mills Eagles Marching Band trip to Florida.
• Finalized plans for the District 9 meeting to be held Saturday, March 21.
• Poppy Days will be Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16.
• Officer elections will take place at the April meeting. Members who are interested in serving as an officer or program chair are to contact Shirley Quist.
The next Auxiliary meeting will be Thursday, April 9 at 6 p.m.
