More than 300 local Republicans attended the convention at the Bigwood Event Center in Fergus Falls Saturday, April 11.

Senate District 9 Republicans endorsed Senator Jordan Rasmusson (R-Fergus Falls), Saturday, April 11, as their candidate for the November election.

“I am honored to have the support and trust of local Republicans,” said Rasmusson. “They’ve made it clear that they want more of the conservative leadership that has gotten results for Greater Minnesota and hasn’t backed down from the fight against fraud.”

Rasmusson was first elected to the Minnesota Senate in 2022. During his tenure, he has championed efforts to crack down on human services fraud, waste, and abuse. Rasmusson also saved taxpayers hundreds of millions by rolling back taxpayer-funded healthcare for illegal immigrants and successfully prioritized support for rural healthcare, ambulance services, and local infrastructure.

Having won the Republican endorsement for his reelection bid, Rasmusson will continue to have the support of the local Republican party units in Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Traverse, and Wilkin counties in addition to support from the Republican Party of Minnesota.
