The New York Mills Mock Trial team participated in Law Day at the Otter Tail County Courthouse on Friday, May 1.  Law Day, observed annually on May 1 in the United States, is a national day of recognition celebrating the rule of law, the legal process, and the rights and liberties established by the U.S. Constitution.  The team took on the Battle Lake Mock Trial in a friendly competition of this year’s MN Mock Trial case and was open to the public to view.  This year’s case dealt with defamation, the proper use of AI, and the 50 year anniversary of the sinking of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald.
