Yellowjackets win two games to improve to 6-6 on the season

The Perham/New York Mills Yellowjackets improved to 6-6 on the season with a pair of wins over Moorhead on Tuesday and Roseau on Thursday.
This week the Yellowjackets will travel to Sauk Rapids-Rice on Tuesday and Moorhead on Thursday.
Perham/NY Mills will return home on Tuesday, Sept. 15 when they host Park Rapids Area.
Tuesday
The Perham/NY Mills tennis team split a triangular in Moorhead on Tuesday as they defeated Moorhead 6-1 and fell to Thief River Falls by an identical 6-2 score.
The Yellowjackets were hitting on all cylinders in their match against the Spuds as Aurora Jabas defeated Lauren Palmer of Moorhead by a 6-2, 7-6 (5) score at first singles, while Lilliahna Kletke defeated Jera Voxland (6-1, 6-2) at second singles and Tayla Vandermay made quick work of Rachel Leiseth with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 sweep at third singles.
Nora Murdock made it a clean sweep for Perham/NY Mills in singles as she defeated Sophia Voeltz 6-1, 6-1 at fourth singles.
In the doubles matches, Hazel Dykhoff and Brooklyn Glorvingen defeated Avie Voldeth and Elise Froslie (6-4, 7-6 (5)) in second doubles, while the third doubles team of Daisy Carlson and Nora Rosenthal defeated Emily Grieff and Zoe Brand (6-4, 6-2) at third doubles.
In their match against Thief River falls, Kletke secured the lone win for the Yellowjackets by a medical default at second singles.

Thursday
Perham/NY Mills improved to 6-6 on the season with a win and two losses in a quadrangular in Fergus Falls on Thursday.
The Yellowjackets secured a 5-2 win over Roseau, but narrowly fell to East Grand Forks and Fergus Falls by an identical score of 4-3.
In their match against the Rams, Perham/NY Mills swept the doubles matches as Aurora Jabas and Hazel Dykhoff won at first doubles by a score of 6-2, 6-2. Kenzlee Rosewald and Brightyn Barthel secured a 6-1, 6-2 win at second doubles, while the third doubles team of Nora Rosenthal and Daisy Carlson secured a 6-3, 6-1 to complete the sweep. The Yellowjackets also secured wins at third singles from Nora Murdock by a score of 6-3, 6-3 and fourth singles by Brooklyn Glorvigen by a score of 6-0, 6-0.
