The VFW Post 3289 Auxiliary Meeting was held on October 13 with 16 members present.

  There was one petition for new membership.

  Minutes from the September 8 meeting were approved, and communications from the Minnesota Department and National officers were reviewed.

  The September 30 Treasurer’s Report was filed subject to audit and bills were approved for payment.

  Thank you cards and letters were received for donations to St. Cloud Stand Down; Minnesota Veterans Home in Fergus Falls; Armed Forces Service Center (AFSC) at Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport; and Minneapolis Fisher House.

  Four Auxiliary members attended the Fall Conference in Plymouth in September.

  We received an award from the Buddy Poppy VFW National Home for contributing to the Health and Happiness Fund, Thank You from 2022-23 Chairmen for the donation, and a Certificate for participating in the Buddy Poppy Poster Contest at the Fall Conference.

  The annual rummage sale grossed $1,650.50.

  The annual Membership Dinner was held October 9.

  The Cancer Aid and Veterans and Family Support raffle will be held November 11.

  The District Official visit to inspect Auxiliary records was changed from October 13 to November 9.

  Other business: Approved the audit report for July 1-September 30; approved a $250 donation to family of a deceased Auxiliary member; discussed the First Responders Dinner and the New York Mills Christmas Tree Festival; and draped the Charter for Auxiliary members Helen Salo and Betty Boxell who passed away recently.

  The Veterans Day Program will be held on Thursday, November 10.  Grade school program is at 10 a.m. and the High School Program is at 11 a.m. (open to the public).  Coffee and bars will be served at the Post following the 11 a.m. program.

  Our next meeting will be on November 9 at 6 p.m. at the Post.
