June Rogers, age 78 of New York Mills, passed away on November 21, 2022, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.  A Celebration of Life Open House was held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the Rogers Family Home.    

June Ellen Meier was born on June 2, 1944, in New York Mills. Her parents were the late Paul and Mayme (Kujala) Meier. June graduated from Anoka High School with the class of 1962. After high school June was employed as a gate agent for Northwest Airlines, North Central, and Alleghany Air. 

On October 26, 1968 June Ellen Meier was united in marriage with Paul Rogers at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church in Anoka, Minn. They made their home in Azalia, Mich., and built their own home in Milan, Mich. They moved to a farm in Ottertail in 1973. In 1987, they moved to Heinola before moving to Topelius in 2010. After they moved to Minnesota, she was a stay-at-home mom, and cleaned houses. 

June loved reading Fox News and watching her favorite show Pitbulls and Parolees. 

Preceding June in death are her parents: Paul and Mayme Meier; daughter: Nicole Rogers; infant brother: Gary; brothers: Miles Meier; and Paul “Shorty” (Sharon) Meier; brothers-in-law: Bill (Elaine) Rogers; and Gerald Rogers; sisters-in-law: Katherine Rogers-Peterson; and Lois (Paul) Herman. 

June is survived by her loving husband: Paul Rogers; daughter: Krista (Steve Honer) Rogers; Steve’s children: Isaac and Leah; son: Steven Rogers; brothers: Terry Meier and Brian (Diane) Meier; sisters: Charlene (Roger) Christensen; Cathy Peterson; and Rosie (Dave) Rahn; sisters-in-law: Marlene Rogers and Donna Meier; many other relatives and a host of friends.
