The New York Mills Millers and Bluffton Braves opened their regular season on Sunday afternoon. 

In what turned out to be a pitcher’s duel, the Millers were able to score 3 runs in the top of the third inning to come away with a 3-0 win. 

After the opening two batter of the inning were retired in order, the Millers were able to load the bases for Maison Roberts who connected with a 2-run single to make the score 2-0 in favor of NY Mills. Adam Patron followed with an RBI single of his own to make the score 3-0.

The game remained scoreless the rest of the way as the Millers and Braves had 7 pitchers combine to strike out 20 hitters and gave up just 11 total hits. 

Austin Maneval picked up the win on the mound as he went 3 innings and struck out 3 hitters. He didn’t give up a hit.
