A pair of city-owned lots will have a new owner in the near future.
During its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, March 12, the New York Mills City Council approved a high bid of $25,100 from Mark Wegscheid to purchase 103 and 105 South Main Ave. The pair of city lots were recently sold back to the city after a planned development never came to fruition.
Prior to selling the city lots to the former developer, the city cleaned up the properties and took down an old building. The lots have been vacant since that time and were recently purchased back by the city when the housing project fell through.
