New York Mills Elementary will once again partner with local businesses for the 2024-25 school year. The main goal for the Adopt-A-Class program is to build relationships between NY Mills businesses, students, teachers, and the community.

The is meant to provide opportunities for students to display art/classroom work for NY Mills community members to view, for these business employees to come into the classrooms, and field trips to the adoptive business. There are many business-led events that have become traditions for each grade level and it is also great to see brand new ideas come to fruition.

The elementary school wants to thank the businesses that participated in the Adopt-A-Class partnership last year, for the 2023-24 school year: Farmer’s Daughter Rustic Bakery, Magnifi Financial – NY Mills, Dr. Rachel Grieger DDS, New York Mills Public Library, Mills Country Market, Designs by Tes, Centennial Realty, Farmers & Merchants State Bank, Mills Locker Plant, Mills Lanes, Lake Country Home Care, Brunswick – NY Mills and Lumber Depot.

Adopt-A-Class organizers are very thankful for these businesses and hope they are excited to commit to another amazing year of partnership.

Please consider this engaging opportunity to partner with the school and students. Those who are interested in the possibility of adopting a class for the 2024-25 school year should Bridget Weller at bweller@nymills.k12.mn.us, no later than September 24. The Adopt-A-Class committee will be in touch with businesses by the end of September to confirm their adopted grade level.
