The new year marks an important achievement for Astera Health as Jan. 30 marks its 100th anniversary. Throughout the last century, Astera Health has been proudly serving families across Central Minnesota, providing compassionate care and unwavering dedication to the health of its communities. 

“This milestone is a testament to the tireless efforts of our incredible team and partners who have made Astera Health a premiere home for healthcare,” said Joel Beiswenger, President and CEO of Astera Health. “We are deeply grateful for the trust of our communities, patients, and visitors that our team of over 500 caring providers, staff, and volunteers impacts every day.” 

To commemorate the special milestone, Astera Health published and distributed a special edition of its magazine, Healthy Times. In this commemorative edition, the centennial is honored by memories of past achievements across the organization’s history. Readers will find lots of information from the opening of the Wesley hospital in 1925, to the opening of the Tri-County Hospital in 1974, to the six communities where rural health clinics have opened. Additionally, the cover is adorned with hundreds of historical photos, creating a mosaic that presents the centennial logo.
