NYM wins 14th straight game with 60-42 victory over Bertha-Hewitt

0NYM finishes in second place in Park Region Conference

The New York Mills Eagles increased their winning streak to 14 games with three more wins last week.
On Tuesday the Eagles secured a 63-31 win over Henning, before coming away with an important Section 6A win over Park Christian by a score of 58-53 on Thursday night. Coming into the game the Falcons had a record of 14-7 and were neck-and-neck with the Eagles in the section standings.
On Friday the Eagles wrapped up their conference season with a 60-42 win over Bertha-Hewitt.
The Eagles finished as the Park Region Conference runner up with a record of 12-2 in the conference. They were the only team to defeat Menahga who won the conference with a record of 13-1, while Wadena-Deer Creek took third place with a record of 11-3. Bertha-Hewitt was fourth with a record of 8-6, Pillager and Sebeka were tied for fifth place with a record of 5-9, Henning was seventh with a record of 2-12 and Verndale was eighth with a record of 0-14.
Overall, the Eagles are 19-5 overall and have won 15 of their 16 games since the start of the New Year.
NY Mills will wrap up their regular season this week against the Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Comets, who are currently ranked ninth in the QRF and are 21-3 overall on Tuesday night, before traveling to Swanville on Thursday night.
The Eagles are currently in third place in the sub section according to the QRF and trail just Hillcrest and Underwood in the standings.
The sub section tournament will get underway next week.
