One injured in I-94 accident

One person was injured on Friday, Feb. 7, in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 94 near Fergus Falls. The accident took place at 8:41 p.m., when there was ice and snow on the roadways in west central Minnesota.
A Ford Focus was merging onto eastbound Interstate 94. A Lincoln was heading eastbound on Interstate 94 when the two vehicles collided.
Injured was the driver of the Focus, 31-year-old Tori Corrine Mcdougald of Nashua. Her injuries were non-life threatening.
Not injured was the driver and passenger in the Lincoln, 29-year-old Cameron Dean Osmondson and 25-year-old Mckenna Erin Osmondson, both of Battle Lake.
Other crashes
Strong winds on Thursday, Feb. 6, resulted in several crashes, spin-outs and jackknives in west central Minnesota. Some of these incidents took place along Interstate 94, near Rothsay and Fergus Falls. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Close to five inches of snow fell in many areas of Otter Tail County Friday evening, Feb. 7, and into Saturday morning, Feb. 8. Road conditions were generally good along the Interstate 94 right lanes Saturday morning, but not the passing lanes.
Roads were slick in Fargo-Moorhead and also near Rothsay and Fergus Falls between 9 and 10 a.m. Drivers traveled, for the most part, at speeds that did not exceed 60 miles per hour.
