The New York Mills Senior High Trivia masters were 14 points shy of advancing to the Regional Knowledge Bowl competition on St. Patrick’s Day. The team started the day with a huge first round with a score of 19 points that catapulted them into 6th place. The hot start fizzled in round three with a below average round. The team had competition from Pelican Rapids, Frazee, Minnewaska, Morris, Hawley, West Central Area, Perham, Osakis, Lake Park-Audubon, Barnesville, Breckinridge, Sisseton, S.D., and the Champion of the 29 teams, Parkers Prairie. NY Mills School finished their season in 14th place. They had fairly young team team and are planning on a deeper run in the playoffs next year as they plan to build on this years efforts.
