The New York Mills Eagles celebrated their third consecutive section championship on Friday at Minnewaska Area High School. The Eagles defeated Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg for the second consecutive game to avenge an earlier loss to the Saints in the section tournament. With the pair of wins the Eagles were able to defend their section title and advance to state for the third straight year. NY Mills placed second in each of the past two state tournaments. The Eagles received the third seed and will take on Bertha-Hewitt-Verndale in the opening round of state on Tuesday. (Photo by Chad Koenen)
