On July 1, 2026, Andy J. Maijala passed away at St. Cloud CentraCare Hospital, surrounded by his family. 

Andy was born on October 23, 1983, in Wadena, to Tim and Sheila Maijala.

Andy had a deep love for his family, music, fishing, bowling, and the clients he cared for. He is survived by his four children, Dominic (Sadie) Maijala, Eli Maijala, Emma Maijala, and Darlene Maijala; his mother, Sheila Maijala; his father, Tim Maijala; his sister, Shanon (Shawn) Link; his brothers, Eric (Kari) Maijala and Justin (Brenna) Maijala; his best friends, Kylie Ament and Meghan Ament; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other beloved family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Mathew Maijala, whom Andy lovingly cared for; both sets of grandparents; and three uncles.

Andy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held later this fall.
