Carol Mary Mohs was born to Arthur and Delores (Weiman) Mohs on September 7, 1939, in Richmond, MN. She graduated from New York Mills High School with the Class of 1957.
Just after Carol’s 21st birthday, she married Robert “Bob” Rowan on September 17, 1960, at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in rural Perham. They made their home in the Wadena area and raised their family. Her days were filled with helping Bob on the farm and the many tasks of a homemaker. Her children and grandchildren all looked forward to the treats she made for them, especially her chocolate chip cookies. She was an avid quilter, crafter and world traveler. She loved flower gardening, and fishing and belonged to many clubs and organizations that were near and dear to her such as Wadena County Homemakers, 4-H Club Leader, St. Ann’s Christian Mothers and Choir, Crisis Pregnancy Hotline, Quilting Club and Lions Club. Cheering on her grandchildren at their many activities was also a favorite pastime as well as cheering on the MN Twins.
