David Abiel Fraki, 79, Park Rapids, Minn., passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at CHI St. Joseph’s Health in Park Rapids, Minn.  

David was born November 28, 1943 in Wadena, to Abiel and Sylvia (Hentila) Fraki.  He grew up and attended school in New York Mills.  After graduating high school he enlisted in the U.S. Marines, served in Vietnam, doing 16 tours.  He was honorably discharge and worked as a sheet metal operator in Minneapolis and later in Phoenix, Ariz.  

David retired at the age of 50 and lived most of his retirement in Sun City, Ariz., and had only lived the last few years in Park Rapids.

David is survived by his son, David (Lucinda) Fraki ; grandchildren, Samantha Fraki, Christopher (Evelyn Hare-Aiden) Fraki; and half-brother, Duane (Judy) Fraki.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Monica Fraki; parents, Abiel and Sylvia; and his sister, Ethel Sinnen.

Graveside services and military honors will be held at a later date at the National Military Cemetery in Sturgis, S.D.
