Frederic George Foster was born on October 5, 1942 in LaCrosse, Wis., to George Vincent Foster and Grace LaVon Nelson.  Fred passed away on January 31, 2022 at Lake Gibson Rehab in Lakeland, Fla. Fred graduated from Central High School in LaCrosse.  Fred married Lois Lorraine Jacobson on August 11, 1962 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, Minn.  They were blessed with three children: Gregory, Todd (Leslie) and Cheryl (Jeffrey.)  He was so proud of his four grandchildren:  Brandon Erickson, Christopher Foster, McKenna Foster and Dominic Foster.

  Fred was a truck driver for 18 years and then entered the computer industry as a manager at Control Data and Seagate Technology. 

  Fred and Lois enjoyed their Rush Lake home for over 40 years.  They retired to Lakeland, Fla. 18 years ago but continued to travel to Minnesota for summers with the family. 

  Fred is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister-in-laws Marlene Stueve, Charlene (Doug) Nyhus and Hiltrud Jacobson and several nieces and nephews.  He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
