James LeRoy Juvrud, 87, of Eden, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023 at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville.

There will be no formal service at this time. Burial will be held at State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, Minn., at a later date.

James was born December 28, 1935, in Otter Tail County, to the late Adolph and Edna Carter Juvrud. He was a graduate of N.Y. Mills High School, class of 1953. James served his country in the US Air Force from August of 1954 until April of 1976, until his retirement.

Surviving are his loving wife, Audrey Cole Juvrud of the home; son, Samuel Alan Juvrud of Omaha, Neb.; daughters, Christine “Tina” Dianne Hart (Bret) of Eden, N.C., Angela Joy Drake of Mobile, Ala., Penelope Smith (Dan) of Sartell, Minn., Kathy Jo Crosley (Bob) of Azle, Texas; sister, Mildred Dillie; sister-in-law, Joan Juvrud of Steilcoon, Wash.; fourteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his brother, Roger Juvrud; brother-in-law, Don Dillie.
