Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, beginning at 9:30 a.m. with a Rosary at 9:45 a.m. Visitation will continue until the time of the Mass.  Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Bluffton.

Jeanne Katherine Roggenkamp was born on March 12, 1948, to Alphonse and Sylvia (Geiser) Roggenkamp of Bluffton. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bluffton. She grew up on the family farm three miles NE of Bluffton, where she did her share of field work and dairy farming. She would say she did more than her share.

Jeanne attended St. John’s Catholic School in Bluffton from first through eighth grade and graduated from Wadena High School with the class of 1966. She graduated from Moorhead State University with a business degree in 1969. While attending MSU she was a member of the concert choir, touring and singing in Europe for a month.

Music was Jeanne’s passion. She sang at many weddings, funerals, receptions and other events throughout her life. For several years, she and Marge Mohs-Harrison directed the children’s and adult choirs at St. John’s Catholic Church in Bluffton. As her Alzheimer’s progressed, music continued to bring her joy. Visitors often played hymns for her which brought a smile to her face, and she would do her best to sing along.

Jeanne also had a love for bowling, which she enjoyed for many years. She bowled in numerous leagues at Wadena Lanes, and at state and national tournaments. She and her four sisters bowled in a few national tournaments together, providing them with many laughable memories.

Jeanne was employed as office manager at Mid-State Auto Auction in New York Mills, for most of her adult life, retiring in 2013. She was a proud member of the Bluffton Lions Club. In 2010, Jeanne was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellow award for dedicated humanitarian services.

Family was treasured by Jeanne. She helped to organize several Roggenkamp and Geiser family reunions, which were attended by her many relatives. Of course, singing and dancing were always involved.  Saturdays and Sundays were special to her when her siblings and nieces and nephews were together at mom and dad’s house.

Jeanne passed away at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena on July 6, 2026, after living with Alzheimer’s disease for fourteen years.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Alphonse and Sylvia, an infant sister in 1954, brother-in-law, Don Hill, and nephew, Mark Shaw.

Remembering Jeanne with love are her siblings: Joyce (Bruce) Boyne, Wadena; Judy (Bob) Shaw, Henning; Jan Hill, Ottertail; Jim (Lynda) Roggenkamp, New York Mills; Jill (John) Carlson, Ottertail; nephews and nieces: Brian (Dawn) Boyne and their daughter Natalie; Laura (Tom) Roelike and their son Caleb Jacobs; Pam (Mike) Ranstad and their children Hanna and Tyler; Joel (Erica) Roggenkamp and their boys Tristin and Noah; Matt (Mandi) Shaw and their girls Megan, Mia and Mackenzie; Joseph Roggenkamp, Katherine (Nick) Rousslang and their girls Zooey, Alexis and Levyn; Roger (Sara) Roggenkamp and their daughter Darla; Adam Roggenkamp; Abby Roggenkamp; Kenny (Julia) Loock and their girls Ansley and Maisie; Ethan (Mallory) Loock and their girls Shelby and Bridget.
