Paul Everett Hepokoski, 90, of St. Anthony, Minn., passed away on Monday May 5, 2025. Paul was born on January 22, 1935, in New York Mills, to Otto and Ida Hepokoski. He was an elementary school teacher at Spring Lake Park School District 16 for 34 years, retiring in 1993. He was in the U.S. Army Reserves for 6 years and served active duty for 1 year during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a member of the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Eloise Hepokoski, who passed away on April 10, 2025; siblings, Otto Hepokoski, Eva Pokryzwinski, Mary Roberts, and Verna Miller.
He leaves behind his children, Dan (Mary), Sarah (Eugene), and Greta (Jason) Himes; grandchildren, Laura (Jerod) Pekuri, Megan Hepokoski, Anna (Lucas) Green, John (April), Carl and Otto Linden, Eva and Lily Linden, Erica (Scott) Piri, Payton Himes, and Joshua Himes; great-grandchildren, Isla, Macie, and Theo; and a host of brothers and sisters in faith.
The visitation was held on Thursday, May 8 from 7-9 p.m. at the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church located at 14000 129th Ave N., Dayton, MN 55327. The funeral was held on Friday May 9 at the same above location at 1 p.m., with visitation 1 hour prior at 12 p.m. Burial will take place at the church’s Meadow Hills Cemetery immediately following the service, and lunch will also be served.
