Funeral services will be held for Shirley Wuollet, age 87 of New York Mills, on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Living Hope Family Church of Sebeka in Sebeka, Minn., with Pastor Wesley Johnson officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. at Karvonen Funeral Home in Wadena. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service at church. The hymns will be sung by the congregation, accompanied by Jayne Koskiniemi. The pallbearers will be Jeffrey Wuollet, Jared Huwe, David Huwe, John Wuollet, Dalton Sales and Carter LaPointe.  Shirley will be laid to rest in Haycreek Cemetery, rural Sebeka, Minnesota.

Shirley Ann Kadolph was born on October 30, 1937, in Perham. Her parents were the late George and Anna (Jass) Kadolph. Shirley attended country school in rural New York Mills and graduated from Sebeka High School with the class of 1955.

Shirley was united in marriage with Vincent William Wuollet on December 22, 1956, in Sebeka, Minn. Their marriage was blessed with four children: Diane, Dale, David and Dean.

Shirley and Vincent made their home in Minneapolis, Minn., for a few years where Shirley attended the University of Minnesota and was also employed with a book manufacturing company. They moved up to Crookston, Minn., for a short time before making their home in Butler Township, rural New York Mills. Shirley was employed with Ottertail-Wadena County Community Action in New York Mills for over 30 years where she specialized as the fiscal director. Vincent passed away on January 21, 2002.

Shirley was a 70-year member of the Living Hope Family Church of Sebeka (formerly the Sebeka Methodist Church), PAWS and the Sebeka Senior Center. She also had a passion for rescuing animals and enjoyed farming, sewing, crafting, gardening and canning.

On November 16, 2024, Shirley passed away with her children at her side. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Preceding Shirley in death were here parents, George and Anna Kadolph; husband Vincent; grandson, Nicholas Prosser; daughter-in-law, Denise Wuollet; her brother Wilbert and sister Wilma. 

Shirley is survived by her children: Diane (Kent) Prosser, Dale Wuollet, David Wuollet and Dean (Maria) Wuollet; her grandchildren and great-grandchild, nieces, nephews and her five dogs.
